April Ale-ments!

It's been a bit of a stretch since my last blog post, have been up to all sorts of brewing activities in the spare time! Couple of batches done this month - honey porter from the White House recipe and a session ale for the summer!

Headed out to the Capital Brewers Brewday at the start of the month to see the lads do a couple of all grain brews. A lot to be said for going out to your local homebrew club Brewday, you really learn so much for just the day that's in it!  (And of course a bitta good Craic!)

On the website you may have noticed on the homebrew section there's now a starter guide for those interested in getting into extract brewing. There's gonna be a brew-log soon added so if there's any of the recipes you want to brew, don't be afraid to give it a bash!

And of course I had entered two beers into a homebrew competition I mentioned in my last blog - Homebrew cup @ the Twisted Pepper. The competition there was tough and there were some really good beers there. No cup for me this time round but for "Honey I shrunk the Hops" I got a decent result! Plenty more competitions coming up!

Next few plans on the cards - the construction of the UnderDog (all grain) Brewery. A little side project of the overall side project (a side-side project)! I'll be throwing up updates as it goes along and a few photos via Instagram & Twitter! Also have just got in a fruit press - Underdog Brewing Cider will be on the way - watch this space!!.
